Valentino And Amazon Initiate Lawsuit To Stop Counterfeiting

Italian fashion company Valentino said on Thursday that it will initiate legal proceedings with Amazon to combat counterfeiting of its products.

This is Valentino’s first such lawsuit with an online retailer. The two companies are suing Kaitlyn Pan Group, headquartered in Buffalo, New York, LLC, and Hao Pan, a New York resident, for counterfeiting Valentino Garavani Rockstud shoes and selling products on https://kaitlynpanshoes.com/ and Amazon.com.

The company statement said: “One of our core missions is to protect our brand and protect the Valentino community by celebrating inclusiveness and creativity as the core of what we do.”

“We believe that this connection with Amazon will also highlight the importance of fashion because it increases awareness, knowledge, and understanding by blocking online brands and their resources.”
