Further actions to promote tourism development in Chios

Harry Theoharis, the Minister of Tourism of Greece, stated that the Ministry of Tourism will take further actions to promote the development of tourism in the Northeast Aegean Island of Chios

At a meeting with Antigoni Maistrali, President of the Chios Hoteliers Association on Thursday, Theoharis was informed of the latest information about hotels on the island.

The Minister said: “Like other border islands in Greece, Chios has also shouldered the burden of the immigration wave… This is why they need special support and promotion. This is what our ministries have adopted through the ‘Greece 4: For You’ campaign.”

Through “Greece 4: For You”, Chios, along with Lesvos, Leros and Samos, became world-famous in Greece and became a lesser-known but attractive destination.
