Greece into top five most popular holiday destinations

According to the booking trend of ABTA, Greece is one of the top 5 most popular destinations for holidaymakers.

The ABTA Travel Association has revealed six major trends that are shaping people’s travel plans in 2021.

Two emerging types of travelers are beginning to emerge-those who are eager to return to familiar places, and those who are keen to travel.

Booking trends and ABTA’s research show that for most of 2020, travel abroad is prohibited, and many people hope to return to a destination they know and love next year. Only 32% said that they are likely to visit a country they have never been to before next year, compared with 45% last year.

The overseas destinations that people hope to visit in 2021 also obviously want to return to familiar favorites, with Spain, France, the United States, Italy and Greece ranked in the top five.

The booking trends of ABTA members also indicate that holidaymakers will also travel to these tried and tested destinations.

Turkey, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Greece and the Algarve are the most popular attractions next summer, while Florida is a destination for further development.
