Italy: Concern about new COVID-19 outbreak

 The large Christmas shoppers that formed in many Italian cities over the weekend have aroused concern that they may cause a renewed outbreak of COVID-19

 


Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana said: ”The gathering has the potential to put all the results of the massive work done in recent months into production.” 

 


There is speculation that the government may declare the whole of Italy a red zone throughout the holiday period, which means bars and restaurants and non-essential shops must be closed.
