Pfizer COVID vaccine arrived in Italy

The new Pfizer COVID vaccine arrived in Italy on Wednesday. Nine DHL aircraft delivered the first 470,000 vaccine doses to Milan Malpensa, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Ancona Falconara, Bologna, Rome Ciampino, Naples, Pisa, Venice and Bari airports . 



The police will accompany the refrigerated truck to transport the vials to 203 management points in various regions of Italy. 


At the same time, following Pfizer-BioNTech, the UK approved the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The vaccination campaign for the new vaccine will start on January 4, while the vaccination campaign in Italy is expected to start a few days earlier. 


The first Italians to be stabbed will be health workers and residents of nursing homes. Snow has delayed the arrival of the new COVID vaccine in Italy by one day.
