According to analyst firm ForwardKeys, Corfu, Greece is one of the top five international destinations for British nationals planning to travel this year.

More specifically, according to the airfare data from June 4 to September 21, 2021 (compared to the same period in 2020), Corfu, Orlando, Faro, Las Vegas in Ionian And Ibiza is the first choice for travel.

According to Olivier Ponti, VP Insights, ForwardKeys: “This shows you that the desire to travel and the pent-up demand are real. With the right travel conditions, governments around the world have stronger confidence in traveling abroad than fear. Therefore, by 2021, the travel industry will not necessarily face bad luck and pessimism.

As stated by data collected by ForwardKeys for the UK Travel Retail Forum, in addition to the global Covid-19 shock, Brexit, the effectiveness of AstraZeneca’s vaccine, continued lockdowns and travel restrictions have also hit the UK tourism industry.
