Spain will get up to 6.7M more COVID-19 vaccine doses

Spain will receive 6.7 million Covid-19 vaccines by March, but retains its judgment on the use of elderly AstraZeneca prods.

Secretary of Health Carolina Darias informed lawmakers at the regional council meeting on Wednesday, February 3, that there will be 6.7 million Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca stabs in the next two months.

Arriving in Spain, this gave the Minister of Health hope. So far, the vaccination rate of insufficient vaccination may increase.

The minister said that 4 million doses of the vaccine will be delivered in February and another 2.7 million doses will arrive in March, which means that in the next few weeks, about 3.3 million people (7% of the population) will be vaccinated against Covid .

Government Chairman Pedro Sanchez had previously declared that despite “difficult injection doses,” 70% of the population will be immunized in the summer.
