Algarve: 78 pc of population fully vaccinated against Covid-19

 

The Algarve is currently being touted as the Portuguese region with the lowest vaccination rate (78 percent ). 

 

With the country’s overall vaccination rate hovering around 85 percent, the southern region has lagged behind: only 86 percent of the population has received one dose of vaccine. Choose your route from over 2,500 destinations in 35 European countries with FlixBus

 

As a result, the number of those who have been fully vaccinated should rise this week.

 

The Algarve is the southernmost region of continental Portugal. It has an area of 4,997 km2 with 451,006 permanent inhabitants and incorporates 16 municipalities.
