UK: New travel regulations to Europe

Like most EU member states, the UK government announced the repeal of its color coding system which had until then defined entry rules for those arrivals based on the country of origin.

However, the red list of countries and territories is still evident as no regions have been added to this list. As a result, the strictest entry rules currently apply to unvaccinated arrivals. Enjoyed this post? Never miss out on future posts by following us.

From a month now, new arrivals to the UK territory are subject to entry rules determined according to their vaccination status.

This is a guide explaining which entry rules apply to travelers to the UK.

Fully vaccinated visitors to the UK must follow these rules:

Booking and payment for the COVID19 test, must be completed within 48 hours of arrival

Complete the passenger locator form 48 hours before departure UK

Booking and paying for the COVID19 test prior to arrival arrival is essential as the booking reference must be clearly stated on the passenger tracking form.

The obligation to book and pay for the test remains in effect even for travelers staying two days in the country with the ability to choose between PCR and antigen testing.

If the test is positive, the traveler is required to confirm symptoms by passing a PCR test and to remain in isolation until the rest are shipped. If the result of the PCR test is positive, the traveler must undergo a ten-day quarantine.

For travelers deemed fully vaccinated by UK authorities, they must be fully vaccinated with all approved vaccines 14 days prior to arrival in the UK, excluding the date of arrival. vaccination.

Currently approved vaccines include those approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and their respective combinations (Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech and Moderna). However, as of October 22, all travelers with vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) will be allowed to enter.

The fully vaccinated rules also apply to children under 18 years of age residing in the United Kingdom or any other country with a certificate of immunization recognized by the competent authority, a resident of the country not can receive the vaccine for medical reasons and participants in an approved UK COVID19 vaccine trial.
