Norway has become the twelfth EU and Schengen Area country to recognize the Sinovacvaccine as genuine proof of immunity, which means that anyone who has received the vaccine will no longer be subject to entrance restrictions.
According to a press release issued by the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services on October 5, all travelers who have been vaccinated with Sinovac, which is on the WHO‘s Emergency Use Listing, will be exempt from the self-isolation requirement in the same way that those who have been vaccinated with one of the vaccines already recognized by the country’s authorities.

As a result, all vaccination certificates indicating that the holder has been immunised against the COVID-19 disease with Sinovac are now comparable to those indicating proof of vaccination with one of the European Medicines Agency-approved vaccines.
The authorities have stressed, however, that the vaccination certificate indicating full Sinovac immunization must include a QR code that allows them to check the document using EU criteria.

According to the Ministry’s statement, “travelers must have a corona certificate that can be examined using a QR code in compliance with the EU’s solution for corona certifications.”

Travelers who have been vaccinated with Sinovac, as well as those who have recovered from the virus in the last six months, can enter Norwegian territory without having to fill out an entry form, with the exception of being exempt from quarantine laws.
