According to a copy of the health ministry’s and the Higher Health Institute‘s weekly coronavirus monitoring report, Italy‘s COVID-19 Rt transmission number has decreased to 1.27 from 1.56 last week (ISS).
If the Rt is more than one, the pandemic is expanding.
However, the number of COVID cases per 100,000 people has increased to 73 from 68 last week, according to a draft of the report.
According to the report, the number of COVID patients in Italy’s critical care units has grown slightly to 4%, with 322 coronavirus patients in ICUs on August 10 compared to 258 on August 3.

The percentage of conventional hospital beds taken up by COVID patients has climbed to 5%, according to the report.
According to the research, none of Italy’s regions exceeded the essential limits for COVID patients in intensive care and general hospital wards.
A news conference will be held later on Friday to give the monitoring report.
