Italian diplomats said that Italy is not one of the countries receiving vaccines from Israel.
Ynet said the statement was made after Italy appeared on the list of countries where Prime Minister Netanyahu and the National Security Council have decided to transfer vaccines in exchange for political support.
Italy confirmed 19,886 infections on Thursday, the highest daily number of infections since the beginning of January. Authorities have reported another 308 virus-related deaths, bringing the country’s official death toll in the pandemic to nearly 97,000.
The Italian vaccine campaign has already administered 3.92 million doses, but due to delays in the delivery time of the three pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca) supplying the European Union, the action has slowed down.
