The Italian public broadcasting station RAI said that the Ariston Theatre in the Ligurian Riviera will not allow audiences in the historical event of this year’s Sanremo Song Festival.

RAI stated in a security agreement that outdoor activities and programs related to the annual event will also cease, and the agreement was sent to the government’s COVID Technical and Scientific Committee on Tuesday.

The Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini opposed the preparations for the festival to be held in front of the audience.

Due to this year’s COVID, the preparations for the festival have been postponed in February this year to March 2 to 3 Held on the 6th, although this event was fabricated to pay additional fees instead of paying the public.

Currently, cinemas and theaters in Italy are closed as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
