The coordinator of the plan, Francisco Ramos, announced on January 28 that all people over 80 years old in Portugal will be included in the first phase of the vaccination plan against Covid-19.
Francisco Ramos believes that this is the “probably the most important” change to the country’s vaccination schedule, and this decision is justified by the increased incidence of the disease.
“The main content of the plan is to keep the group’s age between 50 and 79 years old, suffering from serious health problems and pathology, but also include all people over 80 years old. People, no matter if they have any health problems or pathologie” Ramos said in Lisbon during the update of the vaccination plan.
