Catalan government to postpone the curfew until 1.30 am on Christmas Eve

The Catalan government will postpone the curfew until 1.30 am on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

The cabinet allowed one extra hour before 11pm on January 5th on the eve of the Three Kings Day.

On Wednesday, Interim President Pere Aragonès said in Parliament that he plans to “flexibly” measures on the key night of the festival.

Later, the Civil Protection Emergency Committee (Procicat) confirmed these measures, which included gatherings of up to 10 people including children.

This may be the same as the rest of the Christmas holiday, because if Catalonia is planning as expected, the social life stage will be reopened every two weeks, and the upper limit of gatherings will increase from 6 to 10 on December 21.

Procicat also recommends that the public be in contact with at most two separate bubbles, and contact each bubble on a different day during the holidays.
