The owners of nine restaurants, bars and nightclubs entered today a hunger strike for the sixth day, in order to protest the coronavirus restrictions.
The protesters camped outside the parliament, relying on water, tea and coffee donated by their supporters.
They said that they will not eat until the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy meet them. Another business owner took part in the strike on Sunday.
Since November 8, the curfew and weekend sales bans in most parts of the country have irritated restaurant owners. The restaurant owners say that many of their businesses will not survive this year.
