With the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the National Opera of Greece unveiled its online digital service, starting to stream Giacomo Puccini‘s landmark work “Madama Butterfly”.
GNO’s groundbreaking work in 2013 was directed by Hugo De Ana of Argentina, who also designed stunning sets and costumes for the work, starring Ermonela Jaho as the leading role.
It only costs 10 euros to watch the opera, and unlike many other streaming opera works in the world, the viewing time is not limited by time.
“The “Madame Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini is a landmark work of the Greek National Opera, because it is the first opera of the Greek opera. It was announced on October 25, 1940 that Italy-Italy Three days before the war,” GNO said in a press release.
