Portugal: Minister of Culture called on to continue to visit cultural facilities

 

The Minister of Culture Graça Fonseca called on “all people” to continue to visit performances and cultural facilities, emphasizing the measures taken by professionals in the industry to adapt to approved measures to contain the pandemic. 

 


In the final speech at the joint hearing of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Communication and Budget and Finance, Graça Fonseca, in the context of discussing the expertise of the Escado Orcaamento de Estado proposal in 2021, emphasized, “Cultural professionals are extraordinary” adjusted measures approved by the government to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.

The minister emphasized that this was an “unprecedented year in contemporary history” and warned of the consequences of the health crisis: “What happened will cause deep suffering to many sectors in Portugal”.
