The Steering Committee of Douz International Sahara Music Festival decided to organize the 53rd edition of the festival from December 25th to 28th.
The head of the festival, Abdelmajid Boukhris, emphasized in a statement that the decision to maintain this edition of the organization was made after a series of consultations with some partners in the region’s businesses and civil society.
In this regard, he said that in view of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the festival committee will take strict measures to ensure compliance with hygiene procedures to protect the public and festival visitors.
Under such special circumstances, the management of the 53rd session of the Douz International Sahara Music Festival announced the launch of a national popular poetry competition called “Storm”. He stated that the deadline for submitting applications has been set at November 28.
