British “low-cost” airline easyJet announced that it will establish a seasonal base in Faro in the spring of 2021 and a third base in Malaga, Spain.
The company said in a statement that it will be equipped with three A320 aircraft at two bases (Faro and Malaga) that can carry 156 passengers.
According to the company, the opening of the third base in Spain is a seasonal base in Malaga in the spring of 2021. It will create more than 100 direct jobs for pilots and crew.
With these new temporary bases, easyJet intends to extend the summer to the end of October, just like the base in Palma de Mallorca in 2017. Spain and Portugal are two important markets for easyJet, as they accumulated approximately 26% of all passengers transported in 2019.
