According to a survey on the recovery of tourism in the post-coronavirus era released by the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), Greece is one of the top three international destinations booked by American travelers.
The new findings of a survey of active members of USTOA’s travel operator’s post-Covid-19 recovery and business recovery plans found that Italy is the top destination, followed by Ireland, followed by Greece, Germany and the United Kingdom.
It should be noted that half (50%) of USTOA members are expected to return to Europe in the second quarter of 2021, and 33% of them are specifically named April 2021.
Two-thirds (69%) of the respondents in the survey conducted in late October said they were confident or highly confident in the number of customer bookings in 2021, while nine out of ten people said they were optimistic or cautious about business resuming.
Indicatively, 63% of travel agency members said that the number of new bookings increased in the past 60 days, while 29% of travellers said the number of bookings remained unchanged.
