According to data from the Bank of Greece, in the first nine months of 2020, tourism revenues have fallen by 78.2% and the number of arrivals has fallen by 77.2%.
This is due to the covid-19 pandemic. In addition, this year’s tourism revenue reached 3.51 billion euros.
Previously, the annual income of EU citizens decreased by 73.4%, and the income of non-EU tourists decreased by 83%.
Compared with other markets, the situation in France and Germany is better, with their travel revenue falling by 68.9% and 69.4% respectively compared to 2019.
