According to ISTAT, the Italian inflation rate maintained negative growth for the seventh consecutive year in November.
The consumer price index in November fell by 0.2%, while in October it fell by 0.3%. Decrease by 0.1% per month.
Except for energy and fresh food, the composite index of inflation rate in 2020 is -0.2%, and the base index is +0.5%.
The Bureau of Statistics stated in November that ”it has confirmed the deflationary situation that has been consolidating in the previous months”.
However, the inflation “trolley” of the most frequently purchased household goods in November rose by 1.5% from +1.2% in October.
During the COVID pandemic, inflation has undergone negative changes, causing an unprecedented blow to the economy in peacetime.
