Algarve: Positive overnight accommodation rate in October

Algarve is the only region that experienced positive changes in overnight accommodation during the month of October.

This is mainly due to tourists living in Portugal. The National Statistics Office (INE) has attributed that to the hosting of the Portuguese Formula One Grand Prix.

The highest class of international auto racing for single-seater racing cars was organised at the Algarve International Racecourse in Portimão at the end of last month.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of overnight accommodations in the Algarve increased by 4%.
