The Greek government announced on Monday the COVID-19 lockdown rules for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Government spokesman Stelios Petsas said that at home gatherings can only come from nine people from two families. He added that the curfew is from 10pm to 5pm. “From the very beginning, the government has put the protection of public health and human life in the first place. On this basis, it has decided to extend the restrictions within the blockade to January 7, so that all citizens can work together and have a strong impact on our strength. With confidence, we can spend these different holidays safely.”
Petsas said the closure of retail stores will continue unless roadside services, bookstores, beauty salons and vehicle safety testing centers (KTEO) reopen. He emphasized that when visiting these institutions and services, citizens will still be required to send text messages to 13033 or use other methods to defend their actions.
