The exchange regulator CONSOB said in a new investigation last week that COVID-19 has increased the economic vulnerability of Italianfamilies.
Approximately 30% of respondents said that they would not be able to face the unexpected expenditure of 1,000 Euros.
A little more than 30% said that their income has decreased in the past year. About 47% said they have debts.
Less than 20% said they don’t know how much their pensions are. More than 10% of the respondents said they have eaten up their savings. CONSOB said that this year’s GDP will fall by about 12%. It said the labor market has also been “heavyly hit.”
