The Albufeira Commission is improving the pedestrian access to the beaches of Aveiros and Maria Luísa.
The project cost about 140,000 euros and is expected to be completed by the end of February. Mayor José Carlos Rolo said the initiative aims to make it easier for everyone to access the beach.
Albufeira is a city, seat and municipality in Faro, the southernmost Portuguese region of the Algarve. In 2011, the city had a population of 40,828 and an area of 140.66 square kilometers. The population of the city in 2001 was 13,646.
