Portugal: Tougher fines on Covid rule breakers

 

The fines for those who violate the new lockdown rules in all Portugal will be doubled. 

 


According to the new regulations, people who are found not to wear a mask can now be fined up to 1,000 euros. 

 

Companies that may require workers to work from home may be fined more than 60,000 euros, although the minimum fine is 2,000 euros. 

 


Passengers arriving at the national airport who refuse to accept the Covid test will be fined 300 to 800 euros.
