WeekenderBreaks is selling bargain vacations in Portugal’s Algarve to holidaymakers.
In advance of the official launch on the UK’s list of secure travel destinations, the bid was made available today via the offers website Wowcher.
Portugal, along with Gibraltar, Israel, and Malta, is being touted as one of the few destinations to begin in the ‘green’ category.
Other famous vacation destinations, such as France, Spain, Greece, and Italy, are likely to begin as ‘amber.’
According to sources, the popularity of Portugal, combined with growing desperation in certain quarters for a much-needed vacation, has resulted in an increase in bookings.
Wowcher’s offer is intended to alleviate any possible anxiety, with all bookings ATOL covered and travel insurance providers recommending all-inclusive packages in the event of a refund.
To entice consumers even more, the usual, bottom-end price of £123.75 has been reduced by 20%.
This means that flights from Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, as well as London Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton Airports, start at £99 for a stay of two to seven nights, including breakfast.
The trips begin on August 1 and last until the end of December 2022.
