New health requirements to enter Spain

 

On Monday, June 7, the new health requirements to enter Spain came into force:

According to the Ministry of Health all passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea, must undergo a health control at the first point of entry that will include, at least, a temperature control, a documentary check and a visual check on their condition.

All passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea must complete, before starting their trip, a health control form. Those who arrive by air through the website www.spth.gob.es Will open in a new window or the App Spain Travel Health-SpTH, and those who come by sea through the following link: https://spthm.puertos.es/. Will open in a new window Once completed, they will obtain a QR code that they must present, both at the time of boarding and upon arrival in Spain.

Passengers in international transit are exempt from health control, however, they must also obtain a QR code.

 

All passengers arriving in Spain from a country / zone of risk by air or sea, must have a valid health certificate to enter Spain, which can be:

A COVID19 vaccination certificate,

A certificate of SARSCoV2 diagnostic test with negative result, carried out within 48 hours before arrival in Spain,

A COVID-19 recovery certificate,

These certificates can be added to the SpTH application, during the process of obtaining the QR code.

 

Unvaccinated passengers must undergo a diagnostic test to enter Spain, within 48 hours before their arrival. 

Passengers recovered from COVID19 may present a certificate of recovery if more than 11 days have passed since the first positive NAAT test was performed. This certificate will be valid for 180 days from then on.

 

Passengers who have a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate in any of its three modalities (vaccination, diagnostic test or recovery) and incorporate it into SpTH during the process of obtaining the QR, will obtain a QR code FAST CONTROL that will lead to a much more agile health control upon arrival. 

Passengers who do not have a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate, may also enter the data of their certificate in the application and will they will obtain a DOCUMENTARY CONTROL QR code. which will involve reviewing your certificate upon arrival.

 

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from presenting the certificates described above, however they must have the QR code obtained after completing the health control form.
