Hungary’s daily Covid cases breach 1000 for first time

According to the government, Hungary reported 1,141 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, surpassing 1,000 for the first time during the fourth wave of the epidemic. Choose your route from over 2,500 destinations in 35 European countries with FlixBus

 

So far, the virus has infected 831,866 persons in the ten-million-strong country, killing 30,341. 

 

In Hungary, about 5.7 million people have been fully vaccinated, with 948,000 people receiving a third, booster dose.

 

Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in Moscow on Thursday that Hungary will obtain technology this year to make Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine at a plant that is presently under construction.
