The Dutch government has stated that beginning tomorrow, August 21, travelers traveling from Bulgaria, Norway, and Croatia’s Jadranska Hrvatska area will be subject to entry regulations while entering the Netherlands.
After the three nations and the Croatian region, which have had significant COVID-19 infection rates, were moved from the safe countries list to the high-risk regions list, this decision was taken.
As a result, all visitors from Bulgaria, Norway, and the Jadranska Hrvatska area will be needed to have an EU Digital COVID-19 Passport in order to enter the Netherlands.
Beginning tomorrow, anybody arriving from one of these regions will be asked to provide proof of Coronavirus vaccination, a negative test result, or medical confirmation that the bearer has recovered from the COVID-19 illness within the previous six months.
If you are traveling from a high-risk country/region in the EU/Schengen, you must produce proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative test result (this includes the Digital COVID Certificate), according to the government.
Travelers who intend to submit a vaccination certificate should ensure that the document states that they have been immunised with one of the vaccinations recognized by the country’s authorities – a vaccine authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO).

Those who want to go to the Netherlands by air must also fill out a health declaration form and have it with them at all times. If you don’t have proof of recovery or immunization, the Dutch government recommends that you have a COVID-19 test two days after you arrive and another five days later.
“When you arrive in the Netherlands, you should have a Coronavirus test. Even if you’ve been vaccinated, this is true. Get tested on days two and five following your arrival if you don’t have confirmation of immunization or recovery,” the government said.
